A Little While at Weil
It’s early June, and three weeks have passed since the Weil summer program started. While I am constantly awed by the stunning Central Park view, what is more remarkable is the collegiality of Weil New York. From the first day of the program, Weil has sent an unequivocal message that Weil truly values respect, collaboration and friendship. I have felt welcomed by every person I interacted with, whether it be attorneys in or outside of my practice group. Everyone is willing to take time out of his or her busy schedule and go to lunch or coffee with me, give advice on my last year in law school and answer any question I have about Weil or New York City.
Weil’s commitment to the summer program is also evident in the assignments I have received. Being a summer associate in the patent litigation group, I have conducted several interesting and cutting-edge research assignments. My experience also includes a good amount of practical training such as observing conferences and attending expert meetings. My assignment coordinator makes every effort to make sure that I receive the kind of assignment I am looking for. The partners and associates provide meaningful feedback and are always incredibly patient and thoughtful.
The first three weeks have been bit of a whirlwind, and Weil’s culture has convinced me that I made the right choice joining Weil’s summer program.
