In For a Weild Ride

I funneled into the GM building with a seemingly endless mass of other Summer Associates. As we sat together in the 25th floor conference room, Weil partners, associates, and staff spoke to us with the upmost excitement. We finally made it, and the energy was unforgettable.

Over the next few days we would get to know our summer siblings, our Summer Program Committee groups (SPC Groups), and our assigning attorneys—our mentors, support system, and friends. The feeling of being “part of a team” grows stronger with each conversation at Weil. Once it was time for our first assignments, we were encouraged to take charge, work hard, and break out of our comfort zones. As a Summer I have already been exposed to some intellectually challenging issues, and I am immensely proud of the work I have done in a short period of time.

So, what type of place is Weil? It is a place of support and opportunity, of intensity and encouragement. Weil is operating at the highest possible legal level but there is no shortage of teamwork and support. I am grateful for this opportunity, and I cannot wait to experience the rest of the summer.
