Bonding and Learning: Regional Program Day
Weil is an international firm with offices across three continents. The fact that cooperation between offices is tight and well-organized is not only manifested in the day-to-day work that we are involved in, but also in the regional program event that takes place every summer, during which summers in other U.S. offices come to the New York office to spend the day together.
We had our regional program this Monday, and a series of activities including receptions, presentations and dinner were arranged. I was not surprised to find out that Weil’s collegial culture is consistent among all offices, as I was able to bond with colleagues from other regions almost instantly and look forward to working with them in the future.
I also found the three presentations informative. A workplace expert gave the first presentation, and offered us invaluable advice on career development. The second presentation was given by Weil Upstanders to promote inclusion within the firm, sharing their own experiences and perspectives. The third presentation was on legal writing for work assignments. As with all the other trainings we’ve received, it was practical and engaging. Career development, diversity and inclusion, and professional skills were the three topics Weil chose to present on the important day when all the summers gathered together. Indeed, these selections truly showed what the firm cares about.
