“There’s Nothin’ Like Summer in the City”
I decided to summer at Weil for all the right reasons: great practice groups, people I could see myself forming relationships with, and Central Park. Working next to one of the biggest attractions in New York City has its perks. Walking along the park while going to the office is a great way to start the day, and it’s just one of hundreds of different ways to spend time in New York over the summer. We have been lucky that the firm exposes us to so many incredible events and opportunities.
I was excited to do a 5K run with the firm during my first week here. It was a great way to meet both my summer class and other employees at the office. The buzz around the summer class is already building for our Broadway event, the Summer Ball, and the end-of-summer concert. Visits to the Tenement Museum and the One World Trade Observatory gave us the chance to dig into the “real” New York and learn about the city’s history.
There is so much to do in the greatest city on earth. Whether you’re an art aficionado, a sports junkie, or a big fan of board games, New York has you covered. Explore Museum Mile, enjoy a Yankees game, check out The Uncommons for some great Settlers of Catan action, or go to Royal Palms in Brooklyn and play some shuffleboard with your friends on a nice Saturday afternoon. You’ll never run out of things to do this summer.
New York City in the summertime is like nothing else. Food festivals happen every weekend, live music is playing on every block, and if you don’t want to go too far, there’s always Central Park!
